Another month, another sales increase for Hyundai! With Toyota's recent implosion, it was all but guaranteed that all competing auto makers would pick up some of their sales. Looks like Hyundai grabbed a small piece of that pie!. Standouts for the month include the Sonata, Accent and of course the new Tucson which saw a 102% increase in sales!. I personally expected the Sonata to be in the five figure range, but a silly door latch recall certainly did not help the situation. Next month's data is really critical. With Camrys back up for sale, will Toyota loyalists continue to leave them? Stay tuned.

Well folks, another month, another stellar Hyundai sales chart!! People apparently cannot get enough of the Elantra. Sales were up a whopping 133% when compared to the same period last year. The Accent wasn't bad either with a 61% sales jump. Things can only get better with the redesigned Sonata hitting show rooms in the next few weeks. Looks like the writing is on the wall for the Veracruz though. With sales of 401 units, it time to either kill it or show us a replacement..........

Well folks, 2009 is over!! While things were shaky to start, the auto industry has bounced back since the clunkers program came and went. For the month of December, Hyundai moved 33,797 units. This represents a 40% plus gain in sales over December 2008! Helping out this month were big numbers put up by the Accent, Elantra, Sonata and Santa-Fe. Even the Genesis chipped in and moved 2,354 units. Lets see if the most fuel efficient auto manufacturer in America can keep up the winning streak in 2010.

Here it it folks! Looking very similar to the spy shots shown earlier this year, the 2011 Sonata made it debut today at the LA Auto show. It sports that 4 door coupe concept that some find unappealing while other love it. Time will tell if families that buy this class of vehicle prefer the traditional look over this sleek design. Of note is the fact that Hyundai has chosen NOT to offer a V6 in this vehicle . This sounds a little bit ballsy to us considering that all the competition have V6 engines in their line up. Another month, another record! Sales are up a whoping 46% when compared to the same period last year . Contributing to this increase were the Accent (up 93%), Elantra (up 88%) and Sonata (up 52%). Looking for how many Genesis sedans were sold in November? Unless you have a masters in lock picking, you will not be finding out! Hyundai still lumps the sedan and the coupe together when reporting monthly sales. Looking forward to year end totals in about a month.
